How to read your energy meters

In our opinion it is worth knowing how to read your gas and electricity meters as each time you receive an estimated meter reading on a gas bill or electricity bill we would recommend that you read your meter and submit the correct meter reading to your gas supplier or electricity supplier.

Its false economy just to accept estimated meter readings as it means that you are either acting as a bank and effectively lending money to your energy supplier for free, or you are paying too little which at some point will result in a large gas or electricity bill and might even stop you from transferring to a better deal with another supplier.
